SIZING:

Sizes are approximate. Please measure largest part of head. Hats will stretch to fit the following sizes:

• Small, 17.5”-19” head circumference
• Medium, 19”-20” head circumference
• Large, 20.5”-22” head circumference

YARN/SUPPLIES:

Lion Brand Cotton Ease; 50% acrylic, 50% cotton, 3.5oz/100g 207yd/188m or equivalent worsted/aran weight yarn

• Main color (MC) – 1 skein (2 for large) Stone (grey)

• Contrast color (CC) – Approximately 30 yards Turquoise (teal)

• ZigZag color (ZC) – Approximately 4 yards Maize (gold)

• Small amount of black yarn for eyes (optional)

Small amount of poly fiberfill

(2) ¾” – 1” black buttons (optional)

H/8 (5.00 mm) hook or size needed to obtain correct gauge

J/10 (6.00mm) hook

SKILL LEVEL:

Easy +/Intermediate. Photo Tutorial on Magic Ring included as well as instructions on invisible decrease, reverse single crochet and surface stitches (with photo). Pattern is written using standard US stitches.

GAUGE:

Gauge is very important for proper sizing of the hat. Please take the time to check for proper gauge and adjust yarn or hook size as necessary. Gauge check points are given in the pattern.
