Heart Medium A (HMA) Approx. 3 ½ oz /170 yards Vanna’s Choice Dusty Rose #140 (1)

Heart Medium B (HMB) Approx. 2 ½ oz/120 yards Vanna’s Choice Rose Mist #301 (1)

Heart Dark (HD) Approx. 6 ¼ oz/300 yards Vanna’s Choice Dusty Purple #146 (2)

HOOK/NOTIONS:

I/ (5.50 mm) hook or size(s) needed to obtain correct gauge

64 stitch markers/contrasting yarn (each square is marked so it is placed correctly)

SKILL LEVEL:

Intermediate. Knowledge of changing color mid-row is necessary for this pattern.

NOTES:

Pattern is written using standard US stitches.

ch = chain sl st = slip stitch sc = single crochet

GAUGE:

Each complete square = approximately 4½” to 5”. However, exact gauge is not essential. If your gauge is close to stated gauge, then your finished blanket will be close to stated finished size. Keep in mind the blanket is 8 squares wide by 8 squares long. If each square measures 4½”, before trim size will be 36”. If each square measures 5” wide, before trim size will be 40”. Please note that not all worsted weight yarns are the same and even all worsted weight yarn of the same brand is not the same. Check gauge each time you use a new color/skein of yarn. It is important the squares do not vary in size by more than a ¼”, otherwise, they will not line up correctly.

My “squares” were approximately 4½” wide by 4¾” long.
