SIZING:
Sizes are approximate. Please measure largest part of head. Hats will stretch to fit the following sizes:
- SMALL Fits approximate 18-19” head circumference (average 9 months – 3 years)
- MEDIUM Fits approximate 19”-20½” head circumference (3 years-6 years)
- LARGE Fits approximate 20½”-22” head circumference (5 years-teen)
YARN/SUPPLIES:
Bernat CottonTots 100% cotton [100g/3.5oz; 156m/171yds per skein] or equivalent worsted weight yarn.
Main color (MC): amounts are estimated
- Small 60g/2oz; 40m/100yds
- Medium 75g/2½oz; 50m/130yds
- Large 80g/2¾oz; 55m/140yds
Contrast color (CC): amounts are estimated
- Small 30g/1oz; 20m/50yds
- Medium 40g/1¼oz; 25m/60yds
- Large 45g/1½oz; 30m/75yds
Small amount white (eye), black (pupil)
Stitch markers and yarn needle
G/6 (4.25 mm) hook or size needed to obtain correct gauge
SKILL LEVEL:
Easy +/Intermediate. Pattern includes a tutorial on magic circle/adjustable ring and a tutorial on how to blend color change jogs when working in a continuous spiral as well as instructions on invisible decrease and spike stitches. Any questions, feel free to email me.
