Love Notes, Mixed Media Valentine’s Day Cards

Adorable handmade cards couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is print to card stock, crochet the motif and mail!  You can easily make your own Valentine’s Day, wedding, anniversary or “Just because I love you” cards.  The full pattern includes crochet instructions for hearts in three sizes and a heart note as well as handmade templates for five designs. Print on card stock with a color printer or if you prefer, black and white templates are also provided for you to color in yourself. Then, print one of the 20 included music themed sayings on the inside or leave blank and add your own Love Note.

When printed on a color printer, they look handmade! Samples at left were printed on a color printer.

The music themed card templates are included! Premade templates for printing on a color printer OR if you prefer, print the outlined templates on a black and white printer and color yourself with colored pencils. Love the “coloring book” effect? Outline with a sharpie first then color in!

YARN/HOOKS:

Yarn: DMC Mouliné Special 25 embroidery floss, 100% cotton, 8 m/8.7 yds or equivalent size #5 crochet thread.

Please note, thread amounts are approximate. Allow for at least a 10% variance when purchasing thread.

• Small pink heart #601 1 skein, 8 yards
• Medium pink heart #3608 2 skeins, 10 yards
• Large solid red heart #304 2 skeins, 12 yards
• Large two color heart #3687 2 skeins, 10 yards #3685 1 skein, 3 yards
• 3 Heart notes #309 1 skein, 8 yards and #310 1 skein, 4 yards (black)

Hook: US size C (2.75 mm) or size needed to obtain correct motif sizing.

Other: Stitch markers, yarn needle, 8½” X 11” card stock, glue, printer with color ink or printer with black and white ink and colored pencils, envelope, blocking materials and a loved recipient.
